National Federal Housing Alliance, together with American Civil Lliberties Union and Communications Workers of America, filed a lawsuit against Facebook's discriminatory ad algorithms. As ProPublica reported, as a result of the settlement, the social media giant created the special ads portal to prevent discrimination in employment, housing, and credit ads against legally protected groups such as women and older workers (which didn't ultimately prevent the discrimination).
