Adriano Belisario is a journalist experienced in using data science and open-source tools to address pressing social issues. He works for the Joint Data Center on Forced Displacement and has an MSc in Social Data Science from the University of Oxford, where he developed an AI model to assist firearm violence, partnering with a Brazilian organization. His previous works also include analysis of misinformation claims during elections and in-depth data-driven investigations on human rights issues incluidng a look at how natural language processing techniques can be used to advance the aims of movement actors.
